Anybody who missed the HAWK picnic yesterday missed a great time - fabulous food, good company and plenty of wildlife to watch. I think a good time was had by all!
I started the book club here on imatthews . . . you should join (if you haven't already). I was a member of a book club that met locally, but we disbanded due to scheduling conflicts, etc. We had talked about reading My Sister's Keeper as a group, but, for some reason, we didn't. I'll have to check it out. I love to listen to books on CD while I drive; that would be nice. Thanks for the tip!
That is Kona. She will be two on March 20th. She is a happy happy dog! She is so great with kids. Not sure though what would happen if we got her together with your cutie-pie bird! Did you hear the St. Luke cd yet? It sounds great! Sojourn has some beautiful harmonies. I was a part of the ladies quartet that sang the Irish blessing at the end. I come from a Sweet Adeline background, so I am always pushing Marti for 4-part acapella harmony! See you soon....

I try to be very open-minded about unintended genetic disrespect - no intent, no harm, no foul. Uh, no fowl. Anyway, you were right. He's an umbrella cockatoo, which is a parrot. I didn't tell him that they had the bad taste to leave him out. Didn't want to give him another bad impression of humans. As a rescue bird, he has enough of those.
Been in the backyard counting birds this morning. It's kind of cold out there.
