I have lived in Charlotte since 1993, and Matthews since 1997. I love the small-town feel of Matthews, and am proud to call it home! Have you been to the Matthews Farmer's Market recently? They are open Saturdays from 7AM to 12 noon. We also have a World-Class bicycle shop (Bikes East) located right in the heart of downtown Matthews. I'm an avid cyclist and ride regularly with lots of folks in the Matthews area on Saturday mornings.
On a separate note, I recently joined UFirst Financial, and am now able to help home owners pay their mortgage in as little as 1/3 to 1/2 the time. I'm working with Dale Newman.
