How long have you lived in the Matthews/Charlotte area?: 10-20 years

What is your interest in iMatthews.com?: I work at the Matthews Branch Library. Needless to say, I love to read. I also love practically anything outdoors, talking with people and spending time with my family and friends.

At 11:38pm on April 17th, 2008, Carol Buie-Jackson said…: Laura, Steven's Creek is a 220+ acre track near Idlewild and 485 that the county owns. Right now, its not open to the public and to walk the site you need a county escort, but hopefully that will change! HAWK is working with the county to see if we can get it named as a Nature Preserve, so it will be left relatively untouched (its heavily wooded) and open to the public. Stay tuned! and join HAWK if you want to be notified of future events there.
