Laura, Steven's Creek is a 220+ acre track near Idlewild and 485 that the county owns. Right now, its not open to the public and to walk the site you need a county escort, but hopefully that will change! HAWK is working with the county to see if we can get it named as a Nature Preserve, so it will be left relatively untouched (its heavily wooded) and open to the public. Stay tuned! and join HAWK if you want to be notified of future events there.

Laura - I did put up the info from the Matthews Record concerning your events. If you have a Google calendar that I can link the iMatthews calendar to that would be great. That would also give you control over the events and descriptions. Thanks!

Hi Laura: Welcome to iMatthews.com. The calendar will be a great thing to promote the talks at the Library.

You might want to join the Matthews: 130 Years group, too. We are a "think tank" gathering thoughts and ideas to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Matthews.

Enjoy, Beth Griffiths
