I am not sure what inspires each of you to read the books that you choose or if book reviews inspire any of us to pick up a particular book. I do have a resourse I would like to make you aware of nonetheless. My site, WWW.drivebycritic.com features book reviews by Michele Todd, a National Board Cetified Media Specialist (we called them librarians when I was in school) that works in the Union County school system. Her last review was for the book, "The Other Bolyne Girl", which was recently made into a movie. If you are interested in her reviews as inspiration you can find her reviews at

Right now I'm listening to Janet Evanovich's "Eleven on Top." This is the first book I've "read" by her. Although I've heard a lot about Ms. Evanovich from many fans, I've never had the chance to enjoy her work. This book has been quite enjoyable and makes my commute seem short. The book is read by Lorelei King, an American actress now living in the UK, who brings each character to life -- particularly Lula. I have laughed out loud on numerous occasions and find myself looking forward to getting in my car.

A former co-worker of mine gave me a stack of Evanovich's books to read. Once I finish this CD, I think I'll dive into the stack.

I read mostly for relaxation...so a marketing book would definitely *not* be my choice. Recently I read Rhet Butler's People by Donald McCaig. The advertising said it was the only "authorized" sequel to Gone with the Wind...whatever that means. I think it was approved by Margaret Mitchell's family.
