Hi - I am so excited to see that there is an Artist's group for Matthews and others! I want to discuss more about what we do and what we are part of. I have my own studio in town and am working on gallery representation in Charlotte. I will be having a one-woman show in Feb/Mar in NoDa. Looking forward to hearing from you all. We should do coffee.

Put June 7th on your calendar. The b.brown gallery on Matthews Station Street is having a new show and party from 6 to 8 pm. Our 16 regional artists have 'landscapes' as the predominate theme (even my Glass Menagerie bottles (see above) consitute a landscape! Come and enjoy!

Very insightful! We regional artists need to find a voice together.

Hi Sandy,

This is absolutely necessary! Thank you for creating the group. I am a sculptor and a musician... and have served on the Matthews Chamber ArtFest committee for longer than I care to divulge. Patty Turner and I have run the Youth Art program within ArtFest for years and are always surprised by the quality of all the young and older (yuck) artists in our community.

Please feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have regarding promoting Matthews Artists!
