I think this site is a great way of bringing our community even closer together. It makes it really easy to connect with others throughout Matthews. Find people with like interests, share ideas, and feel a part of the town. Join in!

I think it is fantastic that someone has spearheaded the social webbing of the Matthews community. These networks are a powerful way to support local business, community, culture and they are easy to work within. Even though adoption of new tools can be a long road if you can continue to mature the digital landscape here we should see a lot of new bridges that would have been difficult if not impossible to build before.

Keep up the good work. -a

Darryl,

iMatthews has more potential than any of us can imagine this early on. From the community calendar to the individual and business pages, it's all about connection and communication. I already find myself checking the site first thing in the morning and a couple of times throughout the day... and, of course, last thing in the evening. It is easy to use and to navigate. It already has an extremely diverse membership covering every demographic. If we refer our friends and business associates... and the Faith and Arts communities to iMatthews, the idea will expand exponentially. It is a work in progress and I predict that iMatthews members will find ways to use the site that have not yet been considered.

Kudos are appropriate for creating such a powerful communications tool for all of us involved in the Matthews community.

I absolutely love this site. The information...links....everything is so helpful for me to know more about Matthews and pass the information on to my guests and help the local businesses become known.

I think the site is an excellent opportunity and tool to meet other merchants as well as residents that you may not have the chance to connect with otherwise. We all lead such busy lives and especially when we are trying to run a business. This is a quick and wonderful way to stay connected! I applaud Darryl and the Matthews Record for putting this whole concept together. I was just thinking the other day about how the internet and the whole computer experience has changed my life over the past ten years. It is quite amazing what a positive tool it can be - and with iMatthews.com, it becomes even more evident - the good that can be accomplished!

Darryl,
When I first visited iMatthews, at your invitation, and strolled through the various tabs I felt like I was in a town square. Virtual, yes. But the analogy is appropriate. People and businesses connect. Information is exchanged. Even those townfolk who'd prefer a park bench to strolling the sidewalk can observe and have much better knowledge of their community. I especially like the emphasis on photos and real names. Congrats to you and the Matthews Record. John Alexander, Alexander & Company.

iMatthews will be a great tool (even though Darryl had to sign up this computer illiterate soul) and I look forward to getting to know everyone better. It’s like getting notes in class—from everyone.

I think its great for the community business leaders, this way people can see who is out there regardless of the size of the companies checkbook. The site just came up and running but I see great things coming for it. Sky is the limit.

This is a great way to stay connected to people around town you already know and meet people whom you may have never met otherwise! IMatthews is going to be the go-to place to find out what's going on in the community.
